Crescent Field is a hand dyed silk dupatta created through controlled resist dyeing that forms large colour fields across the textile. Blush pink spreads across the centre while chartreuse yellow moves along the edges in curved transitions. During the dyeing process, sections of the silk are resisted so the dye enters the fabric in controlled areas. This creates soft boundaries between colours and reveals a crescent form that appears as negative space within the composition. The result is a textile where colour and form emerge directly from the dyeing process rather than being printed or applied later. The silk remains sheer and luminous, allowing light to pass through the fabric so the colours appear layered and fluid when worn. As the dupatta moves, the curved colour fields shift across the body. Because the dye penetrates the fibre during dyeing, the silk retains its natural softness, lightness and fluid drape. Each piece carries subtle variations that come from the hand dyeing process.
