Pointillé Brocade Co-ord Set

Pointillé is a two piece ensemble constructed in handwoven silk brocade defined by a dense field of small geometric units across the surface. The pattern builds through repeated zari squares that form a textured field across the fabric. The name draws from pointillé, a term used in art to describe images formed through small units that collectively create a larger visual surface. In this brocade, the repeated geometric forms create a similar effect where individual elements merge into a continuous pattern.

The textile is handwoven in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, where zari brocade weaving traditions continue to inform contemporary textile practice. The trousers carry the brocade pattern across the entire garment, allowing the metallic zari to catch light subtly with movement. The top is an angrakha inspired blazer featuring a wrap construction and a carefully structured shoulder line that creates a flattering and balanced silhouette.
