Sabina

Sabina is a silk saree woven in full body zari brocade, designed by rethinking the traditional distribution of weight in a brocade saree.

In most brocade sarees, the densest ornamentation appears along the borders and the pallu, placing visual and physical weight toward the edges of the drape. In Sabina, this structure is reconsidered. The concentration of zari is distributed across the body of the saree so that the visual fulcrum settles closer to the centre of the drape.

This central balance changes how the saree sits on the body. The weight spreads more evenly across the fabric, allowing the saree to feel lighter and easier to wear despite the richness of full zari brocade.

A geometric arrangement of zari further supports this balance. Repeated grid formations distribute metallic thread evenly across the silk, creating structure while maintaining fluid movement.

The result is a saree that carries the visual richness of brocade while retaining a comfortable and graceful drape.

Craft

The saree is woven in silk with full body zari brocade. The pallu carries hand embroidered details featuring Garuda and Phoenix motifs, symbols associated with strength, renewal and protection.
